Warm and cozy

I don’t know what it is about this living room staging but it has become one of my favorites. Maybe it is the warmth of the floor lamp beaming down on our cute little accent chair, maybe it is the cute pillow shouting HOME to everyone who walks in the door, who knows what it is exactly but…. I just love it so much! This cozy, little living room created such a warm welcome as buyers entered the house and totally distracted them from the fact that they walked right into the staircase upon entering.

Another successful staging in the books!

It is always fun working with clients whom I have worked with in the past! I recently had the opportunity to stage a house for a client whom I had worked with seven or eight years ago. His house had been sitting on the market for quite some time when I met him. It was the classic bachelor’s pad when I walked in, but after a little staging magic and some new accessories, the house looked great and sold within a few days of going on the market!

Fast forward to a couple of months ago… same client, no longer a bachelor, and in need of staging advice for his house that would be going on the market. It was fun catching up, while we talked about the recommendations that I had for his house, and even more fun watching him point out all of the accessories that we had used in the first staging. After a couple of weeks, I returned to give them the thumbs-up on a job well-done (one of my favorite parts of my job!)!

The end result?? As other houses with the same floor plan sat on the market for weeks, their staged house sold the FIRST day on the market!

When I received the photos of this property to preview prior to staging, I was surprised to see that it was the same floor plan, on the same floor, just a couple of units down from one that I had staged 6 years ago! However, this time, I was hired to stage the entire unit. It is always fun getting to stage every space in a property. It feels complete and even more inviting when it is finished.

I got to use a few new staging pieces on this one—new end tables, console table, and coffee table. Oh my goodness I LOVE the new coffee table. I see that one becoming one of my favorite staging pieces! And the bedroom set…brand new as well!

I have to be honest, I wasn’t in love with that “mocha” wall left behind by the owners, but obviously the staging helped deter from it—it sold within a couple of days on the market!
